O tema do novo James Bond - Quantum of Solace (a estrear a 9 de Novembro) - há muito anunciado como o primeiro dueto na história da sequela e resultado da colaboração bizarra do rei do rock actualmente Jack White com a diva do soul Alicia Keys. Obviamente fiquei receoso com o anúncio, mas agora que ouvi a música, fiquei estupefacto. Bem, não se poderia esperar melhor do Jack, a sua prestação valeu para a música a sua integralidade e consistencia. Podemos ouvir ecos de Raconteus, Icky Thump, guitarra distorcida, trompetes, teclado country ou bateria à la Jack. Esta música é tudo menos convencional para o género a que estamos habituados nestes filmes. Contudo, não poderia adequar-se melhor. Até a letra, em certos pontos cómica pelo sarcasmo, é fruto da genialidade do músico. Alicia faz a sua voz inconfundível dar o toque mais sensual a que 007 nos habituou.
